First Time Purchase
4.85
As first time new car purchasers, my fiancé and I were delighted with the experience of purchasing our new 2018 Ford Escape. Peter made us feel at ease, and let us see a variety of vehicles, even going as far as pulling them out of their parking spots to let us see each and every car in a bit more open area. Peter was kind, light-hearted and didn’t make us feel pressured into making any decisions. He was up front about the previous ownership of the vehicle we decided on, and even printed off the reports for us to keep. When we had further questions, he brought Wes over to meet with us and discuss the vehicle further. It was so nice, being first time buyers, to have a pressure-free and up front conversation about our new purchase. We highly recommend Peter, and the entire Key West team, to help you find your new vehicle!

Jag was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. We decided on the vehicle and we worked out a great deal. I also wanted to send a thank-you to Ivan and Gurj! Overall we are very happy with our vehicle, very happy with our deal and extremely satisfied with our overall experience. I would have no problem recommending Jag and Key West Ford!

Exactly the vehicle we were looking for

Robert was extremely knowledgeable and personable from the first phone call to his most recent follow up call. We had done our research and were looking for a specific Ford F150 that could pull our fifth wheel trailer. Robert listened carefully and suggested that we come in and see the one used vehicle that met our criteria. Never pushy but friendly and excellent at his job. Wanted to make the deal but willing to negotiate and make sure that we satisfied with the process. Highly recommend Robert to any of my friends and thanks for making the buying experience pleasurable.

Overall, we appreciated the attentive service from all staff from our initial visit through the financing and insurance.

Ford Brings Automation To Fiesta Production Process

Tags:
(Posted on Aug 9, 2016 at 08:33AM by Lee Byard)
It was a fear of innovation. Men gathered around assembly lines - protesting the arrival of dangerous automatons, decrying the use of robotics. These machines, they claimed, would undermine the production process. They would steal jobs and reduce quality.

Ford now proves that neither of those worries are true.

Since launching the world’s first assembly line in 1913, Ford has redefined engineering - connecting drivers to a series of efficient strategies. It’s tailored the design process, reinventing the conception, application, and creation of cars - and now it seeks to do this again.

Watch below as Ford reveals insights into the production of its 2016 Fiesta... which utilizes automated technology to ensure precision.

Robots aren’t the promise of the future. They’re instead the reality of today - with Ford using them to assist in the development of its 2016 Fiesta. Men and women work alongside automated machines to create a dynamic hatchback, bringing drivers:

A spirited 1.0L EcoBoost engine.

Rally-inspired styling, with four new colors (Shadow Black, Electric Spice, White Platinum Metallic, and Kona Blue) available.

SYNC 3 infotainment options (including a 6.5-inch LCD touchscreen and AppLink capabilities).

New remote entry access technology.

New perimeter security technology.

... and much more!

Through the power of automation, the 2016 Fiesta delivers fun for all drivers - and we know our customers will enjoy every mile in this hot hatchback.

The numbers are grim. According to the Association for Safe International Road Travel (ASIRT), the highways are no longer secure - with approximately 1.3 million deaths and 50 million injuries sustained each year. The global population relies on byways and backroads to complete every task. Those tasks too often lead to disaster, however:

Road traffic is the ninth leading cause of death in the world.

Approximately 3,287 individuals suffer fatal injuries from collisions every day.

Crashes generate an estimated $518 billion in annual damages, consuming more than 2% of the global GDP.

These ASIRT statistics prove the growing traffic pandemic - and they also highlight the need for safety.

Ford seeks to provide that safety, connecting its customers to Driving Skill Life Courses. These educational opportunities allow men and women to hone their abilities and improve their reactions - lessening the chance of a collision. They emphasize hazard recognition, speed management, and space management: all vital to achieving smooth accelerations. Check it out!

Ford’s Driving Skill Life Courses enable individuals to prepare themselves for the uncertainties of the road - ensuring that they can better respond to ever-changing conditions and ever-frantic traffic. They educate; they illuminate; and they emphasize the need for safety.

The Key West team strongly urges our customers to take advantage of these programs. They’re available throughout North America and (due to government funding) are free. To find the nearest center click here.

2017 Ford Fusion Delivers Award-Winning Safety

(Posted on Aug 7, 2016 at 09:25AM by Lee Byard)
new ford fusion for sale bcThe years have proven kind to the Ford Fusion. Since its 2005 arrival, this mid-size sedan has generated maximum acclaim - with its efficient powertrain, classic styling, and ever-evolving technology earning recognition from critics and drivers alike. With each generation it’s won countless awards.

The 2017 Fusion continues this tradition.

Ford recently announced that the 2017 Fusion was deemed a Top Safety Pick by the IIHS (Insurance Institute for Highway Safety). After a rigorous series of tests - which examined the collision resistance of the front, side panels, roof, and head restraints - a four-star rating was given. This proves the value of the car’s recent front-to-end construction changes, which deliver crumple zones behind both bumpers. This effectively diffuses energy and reduces the overall crash impact.

Through this, the 2017 Fusion can better protect drivers - insulating them against accidents and promoting greater safety on the highway. That safety was rewarded by the IIHS, securing its strongest rating.

This, the Key West team knows, will become a crucial consideration for consumers. The need for road-worthy vehicles propels most purchases - and the Fusion’s strong results will make it an obvious contender for 2016.

Ford Begins Testing Its 2018 F-150

(Posted on Jul 31, 2016 at 04:20PM by Lee Byard)
2018 ford f150 dealer bcGaze into the crystal ball, B.C. drivers, and see a bright future. The glass will reveal a whirl of smoke and chrome, with the rumble of a V6 engine echoing between. The 2018 F-150 is coming.... and it’s boasting a new style.

According to Trucks.com, Ford - despite still tweaking its 2017 F-150 - has already begun testing next year’s platform. This pick-up (captured via exclusive spy shots) delivers spectacular design, with the Super Duty influence seen in every angle. The front fascia offers a two-bar grille, flanked now by sculpted fenders; and the tailgate has been refined, offering a new handle to ensure easier cargo access. Subtle changes to the side panels complete the effect.

The Key West team is already imagining this truck on our lot - and we know our customers are imagining it at the pump. Rumors persist that the 2018 F-150 will feature a hybrid engine, blending gas and supplemental electric power. This promises greater efficiency (and savings) on the road.

No official release date has been given for the 2018 F-150. We anticipate a late fall arrival, however, for next year - with this truck serving as the perfect third-quarter cornerstone.

Ford Launches New Mustang Power Packs

Tags:
(Posted on Jul 31, 2016 at 10:26AM by Lee Byard)
new ford mustang dealer bcIn the Ford corral Mustangs gather - slapping tires against the dust, revving engines in anticipation. These V8 beasts can sense that change is coming... and they’re ready for it.

According to Car and Driver, Ford is redefining pony-car performance, delivering exclusive Power Packs to its 2015, 2016, and 2017 Mustang GTs. These Packs - which subtly tweak engine calibrations, fusing high-flow air filters with Shelby intakes - accelerate speeds, enhancing both horsepower and torque ratios. They’re engineered to impress:

Power Pack One: Additional 13 HP and 16 lb.-ft of torque.

Power Pack Two: Additional 21 HP and 24 lb.-ft of torque.

Power Pack Three: Additional 37 HP and 5 lb.-ft of torque.

By fusing the Mustang GT with these custom add-ons, drivers can transform every mile - experiencing dynamic handling on the highway and track alike. Motor Trend notes, however, that this handling is only available for North American consumers. Those in the European and Australasia markets will have to patiently wait for regional-specific Power Packs.

With every generation the Mustang GT offers exceptional performance - and the addition of these Power Packs will continue that tradition.

Ford Examines That ‘New Car Smell’

Tags:
(Posted on Jul 30, 2016 at 09:59AM by Lee Byard)
The breath is long and deep. You inhale, relishing the scent of a new car - the unspoiled leather, the smooth fabric linings, the sun-splashed span of the dashboard. Every material whirls together to create a perfume unlike any other; and you smile, indulging in the experience.

Ford wants to ensure that this experience makes a long-lasting impression. That’s why the company - along with its enthusiastic new intern, Jenna - recently revealed its fragrance engineering process, allowing drivers to better understand the importance of material selection and sensory tailoring. Watch below to see how that famous new car smell is created.

Ford believes that every driver deserves exceptional miles - and that’s why they strive to enhance every vehicle component, including the scent. All interior materials are painstakingly chosen, reflecting both specific regional expectations and the company’s own in-house standards. These materials are then rigorously tested, with engineers assessing their textures, tones, and unique chemical compositions.

Through this, Ford can achieve that delightful new car scent - and ensure that it greets consumers again and again.

To learn more about this process contact us today! We’ll happily schedule test-drives in one of our many new Ford models, allowing every customer to breathe happy.
