2020 seems such a long time from now - but the Key West team already has a makeshift calendar sitting in our showroom, with its dates all circled in red. Each one could mark the potential release of the Raptor Bronco, and we want to be ready.

We think our customers will understand.

According to Car and Driver, Ford may soon debut a new kind of crossover in the Vancouver market, with rumors of a 2020 Raptor Bronco beginning to gain momentum. This platform - which will combine four-door styling with Baja-wheeled power - should prove a welcome addition to every highway. A 2.7L V6 engine is expected to sit beneath its hood, bringing twin-turbo performance and up to 365 HP; while a 10-speed automatic transmission will anchor the drivetrain and deliver fluid handling. FOX racing shocks should complement the MacPherson suspension, creating a stable ride; and the inclusion of all-season tires will allow the wagon to transition from summer to winter with ease.

Are you ready?

Car and Driver notes that Ford’s decision to combine the F-150 Raptor and Bronco was inspired by the success of its Everest - a big-wheeled behemoth that services the Australian marketplace. This platform has broken records overseas and it proves the viability of the oversized crossover vertical.

No official release date has been given for the Raptor Bronco - but we’ll keep our eyes on the calendar for the first sign of production. To learn more contact us today.

Critics Discuss Potential Sales Impact Of 2020 Ford Bronco

(Posted on Sep 30, 2017 at 09:58PM by Lee Byard)
Expectations prove high for the 2020 Bronco - with consumers clamoring for every spec they can find, searching social feeds for spy shots and promotions. More than two decades have passed since this Ford SUV dominated the highway, but time hasn’t tempered the love drivers feel. It’s instead left it overflowing.

It’s also triggered a strong sales prediction.

According to the Motley Fool, the 2020 Bronco should yield Ford massive profits - with critics expecting monthly unit sales to reach between 15,000 to 20,000. This platform should serve as a direct competitor to the Jeep Wrangler and the Toyota Tacoma, launching to the top of the crossover chart; and it may even rival the F-Series for the summer crown, when drivers are more inclined to seek out off-road adventures and all-terrain fun.

What does this mean for Ford? The Motley Fool explains that - despite the Bronco being labeled as a ‘niche vehicle’ - this SUV will reinvigorate the brand, appealing to both lifelong fans and the Millennial market alike. This should translate into a strong year-to-year increase and help to counter the national trend of slumping sales.

2020 Ford Bronco Should Deliver Smooth All-Terrain Power

(Posted on Jan 28, 2017 at 05:27PM by Lee Byard)
The roads are rough - with shaky soil and raged rocks leaving drivers anxious, forcing them to creep through every deep-rutted mile. Exploring the unknown too often proves impossible, with vehicles unable to generate enough power to push through the muck.

With the release of its 2020 Bronco, Ford will change this.

According to Motor Authority, Ford will soon launch a new Bronco, connecting drivers to the all-terrain performance they crave. The platform will reportedly feature a new solid axle configuration. This configuration - which will be shared by the Jeep Wrangler - will allow for precise handling, utilizing more articulate formations. It will offer greater flexibility and accommodate every incline shift.

Through this, the Bronco will deliver superior responses and maintain greater traction on both the highway and the backroad. This, the Key West team knows, will be crucial for SUV fans - enabling them to more efficiently seek out those unfamiliar paths. The Bronco will be tailored to their needs.

What do you think about this news? Will a new configuration have you hurrying to the Key West Ford lot? Share your opinions about the Bronco today!

2020 Ford Bronco May Receive Aluminum Upgrade

(Posted on Jan 4, 2017 at 11:01AM by Lee Byard)
2017 has just begun - but Ford fans are already looking toward the future, trying to shove the days forward and accelerate every night. They want the years to bleed quickly into one other, allowing 2020 to finally arrive.

This is, after all, when Ford will release the next-generation Bronco. This is when all-terrain performance will return.

It’s also when aluminum construction will make its debut - with Auto Evolution reporting that Ford is considering fusing its classic Bronco will new materials. Due to the positive response of the F-150’s military-grade panels (with its traditional steel replaced with more efficient alloy), a new body-on-frame configuration is now anticipated. This configuration will boast lightweight composites and sleek lines, promoting a more economical platform.

Through this, Ford hopes to enhance performance - increasing speed, decreasing fuel consumption, and providing defter handling. The 2020 Bronco will deliver pure power on the highway or the backroads. The brand’s signature SUV will be primed for a new era.

Spare us a moment to collect our jaws from the floor.

The Bronco proves an undeniable force within automotive history - and we expect the 2020 platform to continue the tradition of off-road thrills.

Will The 2018 Ford Bronco Share Similarities With The Raptor?

(Posted on Nov 6, 2016 at 12:11PM by Lee Byard)
In 1996 the automotive world wept. Ford, it was sadly announced, had ended production for its beloved Bronco - leaving an undeniable (and all too tragic) hole within the sport utility world. That hole seemed impossible to fill, with every all-terrain successor failing to deliver the wanted style, power, or performance. All seemed lost.

Recent rumors, however, promise hope on the horizon - because the Ford Bronco is returning and it may share the off-road capabilities on the Raptor!

According to Fab Newz, Ford is bringing the Bronco back (with a 2018 release date tentatively scheduled). The company doesn’t want, however, to merely piece together old styles and old standards. It instead seeks to redefine the SUV market, blending this platform with its Everest Raptor.

Critics believe that the 2018 Bronco will mimic the capabilities of the Raptor, with Ford considering both a 2.3L and 3.2L powertrain. A four-wheel-drive will pair with a spring-based continuous rear axle to ensure rugged performance, while reported EcoBoost technology will maximize MPG outputs. An optional diesel option may also be available (much like the Everest).

These specs - while not yet verified by Ford - promote superior power, with the 2018 Bronco able to crush every trail; and we’ve got our fingers crossed that this SUV will soon adopt Raptor attitude.

ford bronco dealer new westminster bcFrom 1966 to 1996 the Ford Bronco conquered back-roads and sales charts alike. This four-wheel-drive beast delivered exceptional power, making it the favored choice of both families and adventurers. It was a signature North American SUV - and now... it may be coming back!

According to M Live, Ford is considering revving up production for its beloved Bronco. Rumors have long since persisted about the possible return of this SUV but, until now, they’ve all proven false. Recent sources within the company, however, admit that a mid-size option could soon appear. It would serve as a complement to the current Expedition and Explorer.

This news thrills Bronco fans, including the Key West team. We’ve been clamoring for a new model since ’96 and hope to see these reports come to fruition.

When could this SUV option arrive? Master Herald predicts that a 2019 release is most likely. We have our fingers crossed, however, that less time will be needed to create the proper power.

Ford Releases Official Bronco Statement

(Posted on Mar 6, 2015 at 01:54AM by Lee Byard)

2016 troller t4 broncoIn 2014 a rumor started - about the return of a classic and the invigoration of the SUV market. The Bronco, it was said, would make a grand reappearance. With its 5.0L engine, six-speed transmission and staggering 420 HP output, it would race to the top of the sales charts.

And drivers throughout the world crossed their fingers in anticipation.

That anticipation has, sadly, come to an end - because Ford has just announced that it will not launch a new Bronco.

According to Master Herald, the automotive company said that the project is not currently scheduled (nor has it ever been scheduled). All information released about the 2016 Bronco was pure speculation, created by fans and hopeful critics. There will be no Troller T4 variant in the immediate future.

This is a disheartening statement, especially for those in the New Westminster area. The response to a 2016 Bronco was met with much acclaim throughout BC, and many drivers were thrilled about potentially owning such a signature vehicle. Excitement was high.

The Key West team is disappointed that this excitement was for nought. We too wanted to test out a new Bronco and had hoped to feature one on our lot. We'll have to content ourselves now with the model's previous versions and hope that one day the Troller T4 will arrive.

More 2015 Ford Bronco Rumors Surface

(Posted on Dec 16, 2014 at 09:59AM by Lee Byard)

2015 troller t4 broncoSilence isn’t golden.

Throughout the weeks the Ford rumor mill - which usually spins out endless stories and specs - has been quiet. No predictions have been posted. No gossip has been whispered. Information has come to an unfortunate halt.

Key West Ford is happy to announce, however, that this dark time has ended - because rumors about the 2015 Bronco have finally come!

According to Master Herald, the most recent Bronco news is:

It might feature a 3.2L 5-cylinder engine, courtesy of its Troller T4 design (which is pictured to the right).

Power ratios could exceed 185 BHP.

Torque capacity could range up to 350 lb-ft.

Parking assistance technology could be introduced.

The Atlas’ 360-degree camera system could be integrated.

These rumors are based both on driver demands and Ford’s recent production schedule. Should they prove true, they’ll help define the 2015 Bronco as the ultimate SUV option.

We can’t wait to drive one!

The Skyjacker Bronco Is Revealed

(Posted on Nov 30, 2014 at 09:43AM by Lee Byard)

SEMA 2014 was the center of Ford ingenuity, with the automotive maker debuting countless concept cars and aftermarket specialty options. This was the ultimate showcase for chassis, camshafts and compression lines.

One exhibit stood above the rest, however, and that was the Skyjacker Bronco.

The Skyjacker Bronco is a modified SUV, meant to celebrate the model’s 40th anniversary. It boasts a vintage 1976 frame, which has been equipped with custom suspension lifts and soft-ride coil springs. These pair perfectly with BMF wheels and disc brake conversions from SSBC, creating a 4WD monster that can conquer any terrain.

This is the ultimate off-roading Bronco - and the Key West Ford team wants it.

2015 ford bronco dealer bcIn 1996 a wave of mourning spread throughout the automotive world: the Ford Bronco - beloved by drivers and dealers alike - was to be discontinued. This two-door powerhouse would no longer conquer back-roads and its Windsor engine would roar no more.

Since that infamous year rumors have persisted about a possible return, with many anticipating a new Bronco for the 2000s.

It seems that day has finally come - and it's bringing a compact car with it.

According to Master Herald, a new Bronco is expected to arrive in 2015 and should be a compact. This speculation is based upon specs for the Troller T4, which the Bronco is supposedly a variant of.

The T4 boasts a mid-size frame and a 4x4 drivetrain. The 2015 Bronco should share this styling, making it ideal for off-road adventures. It will be smaller than its predecessors but still offer the same power and performance (as well as a possible four-door option for greater adaptability).

This is the ultimate compromise for the ultimate SUV.

Key West Ford has been doggedly following reports about the 2015 Bronco and we’ll continue to bring you the latest news as it develops.
